I'm a 30 something textile artists, wife, stay at home mom to a happy little girl and a modern-day homemaker trying to stay true to my Southern California roots as I navigate living in Southern Louisiana. This blog will cover a bit of sewing, cooking, green living and everything in between. I'll be showing you how to do the things I love and enjoy, as well as trying some new things a long the way.

New top for me
One of the hardest things about designing and creating is finding time to do it for yourself. Here is the latest thing that I've done for me, I made this using a linen cotton blend for the brown ling and used a sheer chiffon sari that I don't wear anymore. The empire waist detailing what is a pre-beaded Paisley design that I picked up at my local wholesale fabric store. I never had a plan for my fabrics or my embellishment and sometimes that's the best way to go. I often try to pick things up along the way and then do something but I just feel with it.
