I'm a 30 something textile artists, wife, stay at home mom to a happy little girl and a modern-day homemaker trying to stay true to my Southern California roots as I navigate living in Southern Louisiana. This blog will cover a bit of sewing, cooking, green living and everything in between. I'll be showing you how to do the things I love and enjoy, as well as trying some new things a long the way.

Draping in full scale
So I have been working on my full scale drapping. After all you can always learn new tips from others, so I try to take classes and learn new things. I find that it really does help me to see things in a new way. The first photo is of the drape the next photo is of the finished dress/top. So when I make this from the drape I wasn't sure what fabric I was going to use so I put it up on my Facebook and asked me friends and is what I made. I do like the way it came out, it's a great color and feel of this fabric for this kind of dress/top.
