Craft fair

for the first time in the 3 years that I have lived in AZ,  I had my shop at at craft fair! This weekend what a great day it was. It was great to talk with so many young women that want to learn  this art that I love so much. It was also in for me to see so many people buying soap from my mom(I love her soaps but then she is my mom) the one thing that I didn't like care for is how people for some reason believe that if it's not mass made it should cost nothing. If I sell a sweeter for $40 I'm that's me taking a cut most of the time that's just the cost of the yarn, not my time for making or designing it. I make no two the same it's a art! Same with sewing yes you can go to a big box store and buy a top for $20 or under but if you want to have something custom made for you it's going to cost you more. If for no other reason then the cost of fabric. Take the football shirt I made a few mos. back for my boyfriend the fabric is $10 a yard then add in the cost of my time. I just wish that people would understand that it has a value that something hand made is not the same as home made.
